Rent this property direct from the owner year-round. The back of this home is directly fronted on a canal waterway. These canals are manmade. Some of the older canals have natural edges, and the newer ones have nicer concrete sides to them. 45 Newport is on one of the concrete canals. The concrete canals have good channel depth, and can handle boat travel, even at low tide. This canal waterway is tied into the Intercoastal Waterway a short distance away. At Ocean Isle Beach, there is a "beach access" street every several blocks. Scotland is one street (block) over, about 100 yards, from a "beach access" street, so the walk to the beach is easy and convenient. It is about a 10 minute walk of about 700 yards. The home has a covered screened deck on the back for shade in the afternoons. The open deck is a great early morning relaxing area. The home is located in the central part of the island, 7 blocks from the main island road, far enough to have the peace and quiet, but very walkable (or short bike ride) from the house to the island pavilion, stores, pier, waterslide, and other attractions in the small business district of Ocean Isle. This is a great location for a boat, near the end of the canal and close to the Intercoastal waterway. This home is very nicely furnished. Everything is modern, fresh, and clean. The home is not luxurious, as its goal is "casual comfort". It is beachy and bright. This home has a very large great room living area. In addition to the exits in the front and back of the house, there is an interior exit downstairs to the enclosed garage (covering about 1000 sq feet, that has been converted to a game room with pool table, ping pong table and video games. There are facilities and an extra refrigerator in the underneath. This is one of the very nice features of this property. We do not know of any other property in this price range that includes a ping pong and pool table. There is good separation between the bedrooms and enough bathrooms to allow nice privacy for 2-3 families. All of the bedrooms are very good-sized. This home has large tv's, dvd, computer with High Speed Internet Access (Roadrunner), printer, plus much more. This floor plan is also designed to have every square foot be usable as livable area. Everything about its setup is intended to make a family vacation more enjoyable, easier, and to make this a fun house that provides exceptional value for our guests' vacation dollars.
