| This
home is very nicely furnished and packed with
things for family fun- the second family room in
the loft and the shotgun style (center living
area flanked by 2 bedrooms on each side) style
floor plan is a great setup for privacy for the
extended family.
Some
of the great features included with the price
are... golf cart, ping-pong, Roadrunner High
Speed Internet with wireless modem, basketball goal, 2 double
kayaks, private dock with crab pot, great deck
seating, 6tvs, VCRs (and great library of
tapes), DVD players, CD Stereo, lots of

Here
is Street
golf car, included with house. There is a 4th of
July Island parade each year in which golf cart owners
decorate their carts and ride down the strip.
Corny? Maybe, but great family fun way to
celebrate our country's birthday. This photo is of
4th of July week guests, who decorated the cart and participated
in the annual parade, which is open to all. Guests can opt out
of golf car and we will discount $110 off of peak weekly rates

32 Newport-Narrative on
home: The back of this
home is directly fronted on a canal waterway. These canals are
manmade. Some of the older canals have natural edges, and the newer ones
have nicer concrete sides to them. 32 Newport is on one of the concrete
canals. The concrete canals have good channel depth, and can handle boat travel, even at low tide. This canal waterway is tied into the
Intracoastal Waterway a short distance away. At Ocean Isle Beach, there is a "beach
access" street every several blocks. Newport Street is one of the
"beach access" streets, so the walk to the beach is a straight
shot
from the house of approximately 450 yards. The home is located on
the side of the canal (even numbered homes) that gets morning sun and afternoon
shade on the waterside deck of the home (you will appreciate this in the
summer). The home is located in the central part of the island, 8 blocks
from the main island road, far enough to have the peace and quiet, but very
walkable (or short bike ride) from the house to the island pavilion, stores,
pier, waterslide, and other attractions in the small business district of Ocean
Isle. If you have a boat, Newport has one of the quicker accesses to the
Waterway.
This home is very
nicely furnished. Everything is modern, fresh, and clean. The
home is not luxurious, as its goal is "casual comfort". It is
beachy and bright. The floor plan is commonly know as the "shotgun
style" or "Ocean Isle Bungalow". That is, a central large
combination living area, dining area, and kitchen, that is flanked by a pair of
bedrooms on each side. This floor plan allows for maximum privacy with the
bedrooms, and is a very good choice for a group with 2 families vacationing
together. All of the bedrooms are on the main level. The loft is set
up as a second "family room", with large tv, dvd, High
Speed Internet access via wireless Roadrunner service, fax machine, CD radio and a full
couch. The couch is also a single sleeper, if needed. This floor plan
is also designed to have every square foot be usable as livable area. Everything about its setup is intended to make a family
vacation more enjoyable, easier, and to make this a fun house that provides
exceptional value for our guests' vacation dollars.
